On Saturday 24 September the Lancashire Lions roared and only the experience of the Scarborough Panthers and the trickery of the Nottingham Sheriffs tamed them and prevented them from achieving gold in their second intermediate goalball tournament. Mighty Mike Pass was awesome. Arslan and Matty were everywhere in defence and attack. Taz fired down cannonball shots piercing holes in even the best defences. And tying it all together was the Bobby Moore of Goalball, Amjad Khan. It may only have been bronze in Scarborough but in time there will only be one king of the Goalball jungle - The Lancashire Lions.
