Year 11 is the pinnacle of your child’s education. This will be your child’s most demanding year, academic dedication will take precedence over most of their free time. With your parental support we strive to provide your child with all the qualities both academically and personally to be successful in their next steps of education. Exceptional attendance and punctuality is vital to attaining your child’s full potential. If your child misses a day of school they run the risk of missing out on important information in lessons that will inevitably affect their outcomes. Your child is expected to attend additional lessons after school to maximise their contact time with skilled teachers so they receive as much imparted knowledge as possible. Behaviour in Year 11 has to be perfect, a very hard line will be drawn against disruptive behaviour for any student who is affecting the learning of others. We operate a very closely monitored system where all low level behaviour is recorded and intervention and sanctions are swiftly put in place. We will provide your child with adequate information to help them make an informed decision on their next career steps. We run taster days, college road shows, career meetings, mock interviews and college open day support.
We look forward to working with you to help your child fulfil their full potential. Please do not hesitate to contact school if you have any concerns.
