Year 9 is the first step towards GCSE success, and therefore is a crucial year. Our aims for this year are to support all pupils in ensuring that they get off on the right start in their new option GCSE subjects and continue to work hard in all core subjects. We will focus on embedding and developing the skills and work ethic that will enable all pupils to flourish and succeed over the next three years at Our Lady’s; and give them the best chance of reaching above and beyond their targets.
We also will focus beyond the classroom, helping the students develop into responsible, caring and happy young adults. The aim of education at Our Lady’s is more than simply academic results, it is creating the well-rounded adults of the future. We will introduce more responsibility in the roles of form captains and give more opportunities beyond the classroom; including trips and career events to help pupils focus on where, and who they want to be in the future.
1. Pupils to enjoy school life.
2. Pupils to achieve the best levels that they can.
3. To ensure pupils arrive to school and lessons on time to receive the best education possible.
" Success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best you are capable of becoming."
