PE
We aim for all our student’s experiences in PE to be enjoyable, challenging, engaging and rewarding.
The PE Department aims to help develop students physically socially and mentally as individuals, groups and teams with the hope that they will continue to participate in health, fitness and sporting activities after leaving School and always lead a healthy active lifestyle. Through the range of activities and experiences offered, students should feel valued, happy and challenged to perform to the highest standards.
The PE department strive to deliver outstanding lessons on a regular basis and also aim to remain at the forefront of developments in PE and introduce new initiatives effectively. Our lessons are designed to encourage a maximum uptake in participation with a focus on enjoyment, engagement, challenge and reward for all.
“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another”
Within lessons we aim to develop the Catholic ethos of our school. This is achieved by treating everyone equally with respect, encouraging sportsmanship between students, promoting fair play and highlighting the importance of ethics within sport and general life. We recognise the importance of spirituality by developing student’s beliefs, values, emotions, principles and morals.
