Year 11
Head of Year: Mr B Mottershead
Vision for Year 11
Our vision in our final year is to continue as we have done so far in becoming well rounded kind people, who excel not only scholastically but in every sense as we prepare to enter the world as young adults. I cannot wait for the world to see what you have to offer and I will continue to support you in each and every way to ensure that you are becoming the most confident, best versions of yourselves.
It is of the upmost importance to me that you continue to aspire to reach and where possible exceed all of your academic and personal targets. Targets are mere glass ceilings that you will smash through.
We will continue to follow the teachings of Jesus and model this through our actions and behaviours, to ready us for the responsibilities that come with age, especially as so many of us embrace the responsibility that comes along with being prefect.
We walk into our last year at Our Lady’s with not only the determination to achieve the strongest results, we can but also standing taller as great role models for the younger pupils in our community. We continue to work together to make the world a better place, however big or small an impact that may be. It starts with us, and it starts now.
The world is our oyster and we will embrace every academic, enrichment and challenge thrown our way to help us create a strong foundation for our future. We will do whilst being surrounded by love and support and the knowledge that we are all in this together.
Top 3 Priorities for Year 11:
- To be good, kind, safe, happy and be our best selves, building an inclusive environment for all.
- To surpass our academic and personal targets.
- To support the school, and in turn the world, in becoming the as environmentally friendly as possible.
Mr Mottershead's' Favourite Quote:
“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humour and some style.” - Maya Angelou
