Student Council Prayer
We pray together for a school where everyone is valued.
Where the voice of every person within our school is listened to equally,
Where pupils, teachers and others work together to create a positive environment for all. Lord, help us today, to make steps towards positive change, to open our minds and to listen to one another.
AMEN
What do we do?
The school council meet to discuss a variety of different themes and topics, from well-being, mental health and catering needs. Members of the school council will be responsible for carrying out the ideas that have been agreed, such as working with Faculty Leaders, meeting with catering staff and representing school at the Voicebox events joining other schools in Manchester and making sure that themes are developed in school such as healthy eating, sports and fitness.
During the year, the Council take part in a variety of activities such as leading assemblies and leading lessons which help to provide information about the well-being of our students and how to make our school an even better place to learn. The Council also meet with Mr Ormsby, our Headteacher, every half term to share views and opinions.
