Year 9
Head of Year: Mrs H Hoolihan
Vision for Year 9
Since we started in Year 7 my aim has remained the same, to help develop well rounded young people, not only scholastically but in every aspect of life. My aim this year will continue to support you in each and every way to ensure that you are continually striving to be the best versions of yourselves. I will always encourage you to be good, kind, safe and happy. We will continue to follow the teachings of Jesus and model this through our actions and behaviours, to ready us for the responsibilities that come with age.
All that being said, we come to school for education. Hence this will be in conjunction with encouraging you to reach your full potential with all of your studies. Year 9 marks the beginning of your journey to GCSE. You will choose your options, and began moulding your future. It is of upmost importance to me that you have a positive start to all of your subjects that you study this year. We aspire for each of you to reach and where possible exceed all targets. Targets are mere glass ceilings that we cannot wait for you to smash through. For the previous two years you have proven your work ethic across all subjects and we can’t wait to see what you can achieve moving forward, with not only the subjects you are passionate about, but the subjects that can open doors for you in the future.
Top 3 Priorities for Year 9
- To be good, kind, safe, happy and be our best selves.
- To begin on a positive path towards all GCSE subjects, striving to achieve the best results we can
- To enjoy school life
