Year 11
Head of Year: Mr M Sanders
Vision for Year 11
We are officially in the home stretch - and now is the time that Year 11s can make the most meaningful impact on their results at the end of the year. At Our Lady's we expect the best from pupils - both in and out of the classroom - and this is nowhere more important than at Year 11. Pupils know we will provide everything we can for them to succeed, and in turn will accept nothing but the highest standards from them, all of which will have an impact on their ability to succeed.
This academic year is all about progress and preparation - progressing with our understanding of GCSE content & skills, preparing for our exams with revision outside of class, and preparing for success after Our Lady's through our work on careers, personal statements, and college applications.
Top 3 Priorities for Year 11
- Academic success, study skills, preparing for exams - Year 11 is replete with opportunities to revise, practice, and improve in our subjects. There are no short cuts - it requires hard work and focus.
Preparing for life outside OLHS - We continue our work preparing for what comes after Year 11, and in particular applying for college places.
Attendance & punctuality - We cannot learn or develop if we are not in school. We cannot prepare for the day if we arrive late. Any missed day, or even missed period, is a loss of learning time that pupils will never be able to recover - so it is vital that pupils are on time and in school every day that it is possible.
