History

Homework in History is intended to enhance curriculum knowledge and develop the retrieval of core knowledge. 

KS3 - Years 7-9

At Key Stage 3, homework is set fortnightly and is predominantly retrieval based. Students are given revision homeworks based on knowledge that is needed for each component of study.

KS4 - Years 10 and 11

At Key Stage 4, homework is set weekly and continues to be predominantly retrieval based. Homework can also include exam questions to support the retrieval process. These homeworks, when set, are marked by the classroom teacher and feedback is given. This is relevant to the discipline of History and the skills needed to perform at this level. Students are given one week to complete this homework.
