Art & Design
Art & Design
Art homework is in place for pupils to practise their skills further at home and stay up to date with extended projects
KS3 - Years 7-9
Homework in Art & Design is set once per half-term and students have one week to complete it. It will primarily consist of a drawing task, which will be based on a specific art/drawing style, and students are expected to work on A4 paper. The homework is also expected to have a ‘bubble-writing’ title as well as some information/annotation about the style of art being studied.
ALL Art homework is paper-based, therefore homework uploaded to Google Drive/Classroom is not appropriate.
KS4 - Years 10 and 11
Homework in GCSE Art subjects does not have the same regularity as KS3 homework, however it is set as and when required. It will primarily relate to sustained Art projects (coursework), and this will be in the form of either drawing from observation, completing classwork, annotating work or taking a set of photographs.
The aim is to ensure pupils stay consistent with their extended projects (coursework) and practise their skills at home as well as in school, as well as gather photos they would not be able to take in school (landscape, cityscape for example).
