Creative iMedia
Creative iMedia is a practical, engaging course that equips students with the digital skills and creative thinking needed for success in the media industry. Offered as a Cambridge National Level 1/2 qualification (equivalent to a GCSE), it focuses on real-world scenarios where students plan, design, and create a range of digital products.
Although not taught at Key Stage 3, students build on the digital literacy and creative skills developed in Computing to support their success in this course.
Key Stage 4
At Key Stage 4, students study a range of topics that blend creativity with technical skill. Through hands-on projects, they develop their abilities in areas such as digital graphics, visual identity, character design, and digital publishing. They also gain a strong understanding of how the media industry works, including roles, responsibilities, and legal considerations.
The course is assessed through a combination of written examination and internally assessed projects, allowing students to demonstrate both their practical and theoretical knowledge.
Creative iMedia is an excellent choice for students who are interested in digital media, design, and content creation. It provides a solid foundation for further study in creative and technical subjects and supports progression into careers within the digital and creative industries.
Mrs Adesugba is the Head of Computing and ICT.
