Ethos coin Rewards

At Our Lady's we celebrate the effort and success of our students. We do this through multiple routes, primarily awarding Ethos coins. Each lesson students are awarded an Ethos coin (e-coin) “wage” and they can earn extra coins for high levels of effort, achievement or contributing to the wider school community. “Fines” are deducted from students for poor behaviour in lessons. Students can track their “wallet” through Kanexion to see how they are getting on. Every fortnight the top 5 students from each house enjoy a reward breakfast together. At each half term holiday the top 15 students are invited on a free out of school trip which has included Theatre trips, Go Karting, Indoor Skydiving Paddleboarding, Skateboarding, Flip out, Bubble football and many more in previous years.

Students are also rewarded at the end of each term with fun prizes and the chance to participate in enriching activities. At Christmas we have had the OLHS Days of Christmas where each child is entered into a draw each day to win exciting prizes and experiences including tickets to Man City/United, ice skating, cinema tickets, Go karting, this gives students the opportunity to treat themselves and their friends and family to a day out together. At Easter students had the chance to have fun with friends on inflatables on the 3G.

At the end of the year we have our summer reward day. Each child selects an enriching activity they would like to participate in with the opportunity of both in school and out of school experiences including Blackpool trip, Aqua park trip, Henna, Rollerdisco, Rounders, Paint and Sip, Arts and Crafts, Skateboarding and many more.
