Religious Education
The RE department aims to create a culture of success, where pupils take a keen interest in religion and belief, benefiting from an engaging curriculum which helps them to become ever more autonomous. This will help them to strive to develop both academically and spiritually. We receive guidance on the curriculum requirements from the Salford Diocesan 5 W’s framework and the Catholic Bishops of England and Wales curriculum directory. These are brought to life through the school's mission statement ‘To Know, Love and Serve God.’
Staff seek to promote knowledge and understanding of Catholic faith and life, as well as an appreciation and respect for the beliefs, traditions and views of others. We aim to foster appropriate attitudes in our young people for example; respect for truth, respect for the views of others, awareness of the spiritual and moral responsibility of living in a multi-cultural, multi-faith society.
